There’s a whole world to unpack in this title: If you’ll let you be…
Let’s start with this: leave yourself alone. Take your hands & mind & energy off of the fullness of yourself and put it on God, His fullness. He is Love & rich & gracious & forgiving & willing & merciful & so sacrificial in His commitment to you that He gave His Son just for the opportunity to have you know Him personally.
If you could let you be…you could stop marinating in the misery of past mistakes & current fears because you’d know neither of these are really real. How could you hold onto past mistakes after getting a revelation of God’s forgiveness? He’s actually even taken forgiveness one step further; He’s chosen to forget.
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
And as far as our fears are concerned….they’re the enemy’s best work, his artificial disguise to distract us from our glory. But as we learn to recognize fear for what it truly is, we equip ourselves to see through it. The foundation of fear is secrecy. Every glorious thing we stand apart from is hiding behind a secret. And we compromise ourselves to protect our secrets because of our fear that others’ awareness of that truth, would render us unloved.
God knows us perfectly…He tells us to “fear not” in the Bible over 130 times because He knows our tendency to look to man instead of Him for strength & acceptance. This is why God encourages us to recondition our minds by the truth that fear has no power when we learn about real LOVE, unconditional LOVE, God’s LOVE for us all.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out feat: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Two guaranteed ways to ‘let ourselves be’ is to begin the process of forgiving ourselves & learning away from fear by growing in the knowledge of the power of God’s love. This is when you’ll begin to have full access to ALL the gifts inside of us.
I’ll continue with the second part of “If You’ll Let You Be” tomorrow…but I wanted to share the video from the Iyanla Vanzant link I posted yesterday. It’s called “I Forgive Me”. You won’t find Christ mentioned by name in it, but in essence, it’s all about Him. It’s calling us to a higher place of self awareness, realness & release. It talks about a wave of the Spirit moving through the land right now and how we have to be ready to move with it.
Blessings & strength on your journey….
